
when exactly did patience become a virtue.. its more of a pain in the ass to me. It implies not being satisfied with the current moment.. classic case of the "grass is greener" where somewhere supresses anxiety about wanting to be somewhere else. Seems to me living or teaching the practice of presence would be much more satisfying. One cant be present and patient at the same time. Once is repressive and the other is expansive. Patience requires resisting what actually is, presence allows you to rest in what is.. What you are impatient for will still come but not at the expense of the current moment.. You just might miss something incredible.
