Fun facts

6% of scientists are Republican. Must be those pesky evolution and global warming facts.

64% of Americans believe the story of Noahs Ark is true. Yep. 2 of every animal/insect species (in the millions if not billions) on a boat to escape a flood of mammoth porportions that has zero historical evidence in order to repopulate the entire earth. Marinate on that one for a minute.

Human "Being."

I suppose it goes against a lot of peoples belief, (specifically the Christian viewpoint that we are all born sinners and dirty,) but i believe that people are innately good. Its the attachment to what our brain tells us that pulls us away from that. I've come to realize that the best of life arises from beyond the brain. Think about it. Love, creativity, passion, and peace are all things that can exist without the brain. Sure the brain can label and focus based on our individual perceptions but its not necessary. In fact the brain is typically responsible for the attachment or fear of losing these things. Judgement, jealousy, greed etc. A healthy brain will compliment beauty, and an unhealthy one will be threatened by it. Imagine if a flower had to deal with the mental noise of a brain while it is blossoming under a bright sun- "Fuck its hot out here," "that flower over there is so much nicer than i am," "can i get some damn water pls," it would be a constant distraction from the beauty of what is actually happening. How many of us miss the important stuff because we are stuck in our heads. I know Ive given a significant portion of my life to the madness. Underneath all of that noise is a human "being" as opposed to a human "doing." The constant "chase" and the attachment to the "story" of ourselves and how we want to be seen by others can be exhausting. Truth is if we let our walls down and were authentic, even vulnerable, the radio station in our heads would quiet down. That would allow the innate goodness thats in all of us to come through without all the filters we put into place to protect us.

More goodness from Shanepowers.com: Stem Cells

It's just never easy.

These are stem-cells. They are takin from embryos. In some belief circles, embryos are human beings, and thus the use of stem cells for scientific research is a bad thing.

That's the basic deal anyway.

Stem cells are amazing because they can morph or become what you want them to. The cell doesn't know what it is yet, and it will, evidently, become what a scientist can manipulate it to become.

I'm obviously in over my head with the verbage and completely understanding the process. BUT I DO KNOW THIS.....

There's a 16 yr old kid somewhere, who was paralysed in an accident, and it's been proven that stem cells, with enough study, could be used to REGROW spinal tissue, allowing this kid to maybe walk.

Republicans, because of their ties to the Christian right voting bloc, have accepted the stance that they are against stem-cell research, which is the silliest thing fuckin ever.

STEM Cells and the process in which they are harvested, is not an ANTI-LIFE process.

This issue and many other moral issues like this are the main reason why seperation of church and state need to exist.

Our government should be committed to the advancement and the betterment of human kind, and we should fund and support science, especially when it's a certainty that major breakthroughs are close to happening.

Because YOU BELIEVE MORALLY that it's wrong, shouldn't affect me. It's the whole freedom of religion thing. And your religious beliefs shouldn't dicate the way government spends money to benefit the planet.

FACT.

I'm happy you have a way of seeking God. Please, again, for the trillionth FUCKING TIME, don't impress your value set on me.

Nikki & Rich

Every once in awhile something comes along that changes your perspective, reignites the passion and makes it all fun again. This is Nikki and Rich and trust me when I tell you they have made some of the most inspired, authentic, classic, fun music you have heard in a long time. They are pop music as it was originally intended, not as some type of record label science project. Think Amy Winehouse meets The Supremes. Think Alicia Keys meets Outkast (Hey Yah.) They are pure Americana with soul. The musical equivalent of an old school Lincoln Continental convertable. Rich is an old friend of mine who is a producer and songwriter that has worked with alot of artists from Ludacris to Robin Thicke. He completely blew me away with the music he put together for this project. Nikki is a singer/songwriter with one of the best voices I've ever heard filled with emotion on every note. Individually they are extremely talented but together its f@cking magic. Their melodies are ridiculous. They make music that makes you feel good. They tap into the best part of us. I've been fortunate enough to work with some incredible artists and movements and I don't hesitate to say this feels like that. Sure this may all sound lofty and as their manager I may be biased but I literally can't wait for people to hear. We are now in the process of putting it all together and doing a lot on our own prior to the label game. We shot a video last weekend that is gonna be amazing. I took the pics above at shoot.. You'll be hearing a lot from me in the future. Stay tuned. Check their site HERE.

Eminem Beautiful video.. is, well, Beautiful.

Time to pack in the rims

Note to self: 22" custom rims aren't as cool as they used to be. Your 38 years old and a father. You don't wear Ed Hardy or have Ray J's album on repeat. It's a wrap. Not to mention the fact that you consistently ram them into the sidewalk like a drunken jackass.

This is what you do with all that buzz?

I know Im in the minority but i personally dont think Drake matches the buzz he has.. He's obviously talented but cmon. It doesnt hurt that he has some big co-signers and the right people around him.. He also missed a big opportunity to do something that felt fresh with this video but stayed in hip hop video quicksand.. bummer... Ida at least played along if he at least brung it visually.

Hi. I'm God. And I have a few words about people who come to me ONLY when it's beneficial for them. It fuckin PISSES me off.
Following me is NOT like following someone on Twitter. Following me shouldn't be used to market yourselves. Following me isn't about deciding what is my will and the "devils will".
Following me is a PARTNERSHIP, where I'm always here kicking it, down for you and your journey on Earth, and you as HUMAN faulty beings, try hard to find your way by trial and error.
When you blame your fuckin ridiculous behavior on the "devil" steppin in for a minute, you haven't learned shit about me.
Life isn't about bein perfect. Life is about learning from your mistakes, your selfish behavior, and TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for your dumb-fuck DECISIONS, so that you aren't a victim. So that you can build CHARACTER. So that you can associate yourself with HUMILITY. So that you can become ok with just bein OK.
I don't like you any MORE if you are famous. I actually tend to KNOW that the idea of wanting to be famous shows that you are in a very big need for outside validation that isn't real, bcause for whatever reason your parents fucked up and didn't make you feel safe.
I'm God. I dig you regardless.

Please quit using my name as a TOOL. It makes me FUCKIN ANGRY. And you know what happens when I get angry.

I do shit you guys can't handle.

PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK up, and try some ANONYMOUS, just for YOURSELF, because you wanna better yourself work.

You are makin me look bad.

Love Always, in whatever way you are searchin,

God
